Well, a family joke: Whenever one of our hamsters (and we had several hamsters over the lean years of graduate school) found a particularly huge treasure (rotten potato slice, yard of yarn, birdseed bell), she would carve it up and hide it away in her nest with amazing enthusiasm and passion. Watching this, we'd tap our foreheads, look sly, and say "Clever Hamster!" After that, whenever one of us would have a bright idea, we'd do the same forehead-tap and "Clever Hamster!" cheer.
That's it. That's the story. (blush)
